4-week long course where we will go over the basics of music theory starting from the ground up. We will cover major and minor scales/keys, how to build chords (major, minor, different 7th chords), the number system, how to build a chord progression, and how to write a melody, + more!

In this lesson, you will learn how to find the sharps/flats in all 12 keys! From there, I will teach you how chords are built with an approach via the scale and an approach via the guitar.

In this lesson, we will continue on with the knowledge from last week and learn the number system. The number system is the way many musicians learn chord progressions fast and in any key! After this lesson, you'll be able to analyze the majority of chord progressions, move their keys, and we'll even start building our own common chord progressions.

Now that we've gone over the fundamentals, we can get into the fun stuff! We'll talk about building chord progressions in major and minor + one of my favorite concepts known as modal borrowing! After that, we'll talk about writing diatonic melodies.
