An 8 week boot camp for guitar chords: theory, triads, inversions, 7th chords, extensions and alterations. Learn how all chords are constructed and where to play them on the guitar. When you're making music, it’s helpful to know which colors you’re adding to your palate before you even begin. This course will demonstrate the vast array of chord choices and how to make interesting and unique progressions!

Construct chords anywhere on the guitar by understanding music theory. Learn how different chords function within a key to inform your songwriting, chord melodies and/or music production choices!
Triads
Triads
Learn all basic chord qualities: major, minor, augmented & diminished. Learn to play in multiple locations on the fretboard.
7th Chords
7th Chords
Learn all 7th chord qualities: major 7, dominant 7, minor 7, half diminished 7, diminished 7 and some lesser used 7th chords including augmented major 7 and minor major 7 in various locations on the guitar.
Inversions
Inversions
Learn first, second and third inversion chords and how to find them on the neck. Learn how to add them to your playing to add movement and interest.
Color Tones, Extensions and Alterations
Color Tones, Extensions and Alterations
Learn how to play sus2, sus4, 6, add9, 9th, 11th and 13th chords in various voicings on the guitar. Learn popular alterations like #11, b5, #5, b9, #9 chords and how to include them in your guitar playing to add tension and intrigue.
